Five Tips On Inspiring Trust With Your Prospective Client Prior To Appointment Setting
Think about how the prospect will learn about you.
- Where do they look first? The Web, Yelp, Wedding Portals, Bridal Shows, Attended Weddings
- Whom do they ask first? Their Friends and Associates, The Venue, Other Vendors and Creditable Popular Wedding Planning Web Portals
- Where do they meet you first? Networking, A Bridal Show, On The Internet, In a Magazine
- Marketing Statistics indicate they need to see/hear your name seven to fifteen times. So build on that be implementing the above areas where you would be seen or heard about.
- #1.Build your Circle of Influence.
# 2. Take a good look at your website - Do you build TRUST on your home page. Your content requires a welcoming spirit with your years in business, the number of weddings you have worked on and a link to a sub page where you list past clients. Your ease and transparency to work on their part of the wedding. Some recommend your pricing be on the website, but I suggest you have several sized packages to offer a prospect. These can be geared to your time and/or to the various services you bring.
#3. Get back to your calls - Brides are always in a hurry and do not understand you take Monday and Tuesday for your days off. If you can't - have someone else do it.
#4. Encourage the Appointment - so important to close this first. Your appointment is when you meet to discuss their hopes and dreams. So....no strings attached, no fee for interviews. Listen to their needs. Let them talk, if they do not have ideas, then add a few at a time and do not overwhelm them. Have a professional packet with checklist of your category concerns, your cards and brochures ready when you meet. They will see you are organized and it is vital you be on time. (If you can't be on time for the meeting, you may not be on time for their wedding.) If they are late - that is on them - not you.
- Skype or Google Hangouts, so they can schedule a face to face appointment - very important when your business is in a popular wedding destination area.
- Smart Phone accessed website - indicates you are a modern thinker
- A list of good professionals you can recommend for various aspects of the wedding planning
